Gumla rozgar mela (Employment Fair)

Gumla rozgar mela (Employment Fair) was organised by the district administration in the remote village of Banalat in Bishunpur block in Gumla on 13th May ’17. for the tribal youth of the district. PARFI being a part of the skill development initiative in Jharkhand through the SPV PREJHA formed by collaboration of PARFI and the welfare agencies of the state was invited to be a part of the event. PARFI represntatives briefed the youth visiting the fair on the on going admissions in PARFI Gurukuls and its training and placement programs.

Graduation Ceremony of 4th batch of SMO trainees from Chaibasa Apparel Gurukul was held on 3rd May 2017 in presence of of their families. The 21 trained female candidates were from the 3 districts of West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Saraikela in Jharkhand. The candidates belonged mostly to the tribal communities of Jharkhand and have been trained for 2 months in SMO trade. The Gurukul is being run in Chaibasa since 2013 by PARFI.

69 construction trainees belonging to 42nd batch of mason, barbending and shuttering trades graduated from PARFI operated Gumla Construction Gurukul on 29th April. It was attended by the DPO(District Planning Officer), District Labour Officer Shri Ranjit Singh and the families of the trained candidates. The candidates moved out to their job loactions in construction sites in Chennai(Tamil Nadu) (batch profile detail – 23 each mason, bar bending, shuttering/carpentry)

Graduation Ceremony of 41st batch of construction trainees from Gumla Construction Gurukul was held on 19th March 2017 in presence of DPO(District Planning Officer) Shri Arun Kr Singh. The 76 trained candidates consisting of 30 mason, 19 bar benders, 27 shuttering who were offered placement in Kolkata(West Bengal). The candidates belonged to tribal areas around Gumla and have been trained at Gurukul operated by PARFI. The Gurukul has been running in Gumla since 2011.
Kaushal Shivir, Dumka

A one-day ‘Kaushal Shivir’ was organised on 21st feb ’17 in Dumka Kalyan Gurukul located in the Chaklata, Patabari, Shikaripara Block, which was attended by DIG, Dumka Akhilesh Kr.Jha, Dumka Zila Parishad President Ms Joyesh Besra, PRI members and other public representatives from the district. PARFI representatives detailed the audience on the training, admission and placement process and rules

Kaushal Shivir was organized in Jamshedpur Multi Skill Gurukul on 4th January and was attended by the local representatives from block and panchayats of East Singhbhum (and DPO, DWO). The event was launched by DC IAS Amit Kumar and the PARFI Operations, mobilization and marketing teams.

PARFI representatives detailed the audience on the training, admission and placement process and rules. The event was also attended by prospective candidates from the district.
Inauguration of Kalyan Gurukul - Hazaribagh

Shri Jayant Sinha launched Kalyan Gurukul a multi-trade skill development center in Hazaribagh to facilitate the process of skill development in Jharkhand on 27th Nov ’16.
PanIIT Alumni Reach for India Foundation (PARFI), announced the launch of”Kalyan Gurukul”, a multi-trade skill development center, in Hazaribagh to facilitate skilling and increase opportunities for employment for the economically backward youth. This new skill training centre is part of PARFI’s ongoing initiative to skill youth in Jharkhand and make them industry ready, thus creating employment.
Inaugurating the centre Shri Jayant Sinha, Honourable Minister of State for Civil Aviation said, “It is important to provide the youth with the requisite skills that will make them employable. This new Gurukul in Hazaribagh will help create skilled manpower and ensure sustainable employment, thus improving the socio economic status of our people.” He added “Skill India is a focus area of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and sustainable welfare initiatives are a focus area of the government”.
